JLT Plastic Cold Air Intake available in Black Textured Plastic
Our first intake kit with the MAF housing incorporated into the tube. This makes for a smooth interior and a smooth look to the tube itself. We even took the interior sound tube into consideration. Some want it and some don’t, so we moved it to the inside and center of the tube. A cap is included so you can remove the tube and cap the fitting in the JLT tube. Because we lowered the fitting, when it’s capped it’s less noticeable at most angles looking into the engine compartment.
With a huge 4.5” opening on the tube we needed a huge filter. We love the tapered flange design and Powerstack filtered ends of S&B’s filters and ended up with a monster 4.5×9” filter. Finish it off with a silicone coupler and stainless clamps and you got the BEST Intake on the market!!! NO METAL TUBING HERE!!
2012-13 BOSS 302 owners & 2011-14 GT owners using the BOSS intake manifold: This kit fits as is, but we can include a 2.5” vs. 2” coupler that will improve fit with BOSS manifold. Please select YES in drop down box below if this applies to you and we will swap the 2” coupler for the longer 2.5” coupler at no extra charge.
AUTOMATIC OWNERS
Automatic cars need an additional fitting, which we provide if you select automatic when ordering (see below). The fittings are Milled from solid billet aluminum and all you need to do is drill a ½” hole (we show you where) in the tube, install the supplied grommet, fitting and you’re done. Note, all kits sold to resellers will include the automatic fitting.

It incorporates the fresh air inlet from the grill.

GAINS AND TESTING
Up to 30+ RWHP has been seen when used with our custom tune!
Our testing as well as many others have showed gains of 24-30 RWHP with our CAI and custom tune. If you see more “claimed” by others, ask them how. Also look over the dyno sheets real good for low number baseline runs or no dyno sheets at all. Many will base line the car with 87 fuel, then add 93 fuel, the CAI and tune and show more power. We don’t do that! We test a car with 93 fuel from the start.

AIR FILTER OPTIONS
OIL OR DRY
We use only the best air filters made by S&B to our specifications.
For years we only used oiled filters, but dry filter technology has been proven and is now a popular option.
Should I choose a Dry Disposable or Cotton Oiled Filter?
Since you are not sacrificing performance with either choice, the decision comes down to would you rather throw away the filter or clean it.
Dry: Comparable airflow to oiled cotton filters with the same great protection.
Last for up to 30,000 miles of highway driving. Extend the life of the filter using compressed air.
Oil: Oiled filters can last forever as long as you properly clean and re-oil it.

MAINTENANCE
To properly clean your oil filter, we recommend the S&B Precision II Cleaning & Oiling Kit.
*TIP* by purchasing a 2nd air filter you can simply swap filters when it’s time to clean it and not be rushed. Clean the first filter and it’s ready when it’s time to change again.
